Constructing Arizona's Future ... Today - Phoenix Convention Center Expansion


The $600 million expansion of the Phoenix Convention Center will triple in size, offering nearly 900,000 square feet of rentable space and more than 2 million square feet total.

The expansion is taking place in phases so that the Phoenix Convention Center remains open for convention business throughout the project.

Phase One was ready for groups in July 2006. Phase Two opens in late 2008 and is ready for business in early 2009.

Exhbit Hall floors scored ona 10x10 grid; coordinated with a 30x30 utility grid to reduce amount of time and labor required to set up each event 21,000 sq ft. Conference Center certified by the IACC, features high-level corporate meeting space and a 192 lecture hall with data and power outlets at each work station. A versatile ballroom featuring telescoping risers with folded seats to enhance site lines for delegates. Complimentary wireless communication in all public areas. $3 million in public art.
