Destination Guide: Featured Hotels
Beaver Creek Lodge, Beaver Creek, Colorado

Being in the meeting planning and travel business, we naturally travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. Therefore we frequently call ourselves professional hotel guests because we can quickly discern between the good and the not so good. That is why we love to discover truly unforgettable gems like the Beaver Creek Lodge. Richard Kessler and his company, The Kessler Collection have created something extraordinary in the Colorado Rockies. This hotel which is intimate in size at only 72 rooms, is also intimate in design. The hotel has an open atrium area, but guest rooms are not necessarily right up against the railing and directly facing each other as in many atrium hotels. Instead, hallways meander around the perimeter of the building to take advantage of the many scenic and panoramic views.

ROOMS
The hotel is an all-suite concept with 72 rooms. Each room has a separate bedroom and living area. The rooms are appointed with luxury bedding, flat screen televisions, wet bars, Bose sound system, refrigerators, fireplaces, extra vanities and many of the rooms have walkout balconies with views of the mountain, village or creek.
MEETING SPACE

Beaver Creek Lodge has 4 tradtional meeting rooms, the largest being the 1,344 square foot Blue Spruce Room. The Larkspur and Juniper rooms are each 1,092 square feet. In addition to these traditional meeting rooms, there is one permanent boardroom that can seat 10 people around its luxurious conference table. Beaver Creek Lodge really shines in its non-traditional spaces like the Grand Bohemian Gallery located at the base of the hotels atrium. This room features a fireplace, bar, water feature and an evolving display of original artwork which is available for sale.

HOTEL OVERVIEW

Beaver Creek Lodge is owned and operated by The Kessler Collection, one of our favorite hotel companies. The Kessler Collection has proven that clients and guests can expect a luxurious and unique lodging experience in any of their hotels. We only wish there were more Kessler properties to offer to our clients. As of 2007, they only have hotels in Florida, Georgia, Colorado and New Mexico.

This property combines chic contemporary design with some classic Rocky Mountain motif and winds up with a hotel that is pure class. The hotel is located only a few minutes walk from the Centennial hi-speed chairlift and is a short drive from the Beaver Creek golf course.

Our team of meeting professionals (who can be very critical of a hotel), truly enjoyed every aspect of our visit and were most surprised at how wonderful the summer season could be in the mountains. Naturally, Beaver Creek is known as a winter sports destination. Our visit in August revealed to us that daytime temperatures average about 74 degrees, with cool nights and crisp clean air. This was a great relief to everyone who was tired of hot and humid weather at home.

We encourage all planners to consider holding a summer meeting in Beaver Creek and especially at the Beaver Creek Lodge. If you would like assistance booking the Beaver Creek Lodge, or planning your next meeting in the Colorado mountains, please contact us today.
